The immersive Web3 festival Coinfest Asia will return to Bali on August 24-25, 2023. Previously, Coinfest Asia managed to draw over 2,000 participants from more than 50 countries for its 2022 edition, including institutions, retailers, and regulators.
Coinfest Asia will carry a new theme in 2023 titled Converge, which will converge Web2 and Web3 industries into Web2.5, a transition process between Web2 and Web3. Coinfest Asia will also be able to brace the Web 2.5 industry and Web3 implementation using this form of support.
Coinfest Asia will return with insights and various interactive and exciting activities about Web 2.5, a transition between Web2 and Web3. Organising Coinfest Asia is also our way of contributing to the growth of the Web3 industry, especially in Asia,” said Felita Setiawan, Director of ICN.
There will be real-world use cases of Web2.5 and tangible solutions at Coinfest Asia. Companies can have the opportunity to showcase their impact-driven products and build strategic partnerships with Web2 and Web3 companies, which can enhance business and implementation. In addition to companies, this event targets crypto enthusiasts, fund managers, developers, creators, and regulators.
You can learn about Web 2.5 and its role in the industry
Over the last 50 years, the Internet has evolved into two generations. Web1 offers information on the web, while Web2 allows users to interact with the web.
With Web3, the world of the internet will be brought to a new level, bringing innovation such as blockchain, crypto, decentralised technology, NFT, Metaverse, and AI to the forefront.
To make Web3 acceptable to previous generations of Web users, some link, or Web2.5, was required.
A blockchain-based platform, or Web 2.5, lies between Web2 and Web3. Consumers want the advantages of blockchain-based platforms. Web 2.5, on the other hand, made adopting Web2 to Web3 easier and less troublesome if people switched to Web3 completely since they didn’t want the hassle that often comes with blockchain-based systems.
With Web2.5, several well-known brands began to enter Web3. In addition, Nike created.SWOOSH, an interactive digital community platform for creating online digital communities now in beta testing. Fans can design t-shirts, shoes, and more with interactive digital objects.
Last December, Starbucks launched its blockchain-based loyalty program, Starbucks Odyssey, which offers free drinks and coffee-themed NFTs.
